    Education for life

Without training, you end up in the rubbish .... We ALL know it. Education is certainly one of the most important cornerstones of a decent human life. Of course, there are many other elements, some of which are also extremely important, to enable a young person to live in freedom and dignity. At this point, however, we would like to emphasise in particular the dimension of initial school education for children and young people in Africa/Kenya. CASHEW FOR LIFE

Cashew nuts are not only a delicacy but can also be used in many different ways. Vegans (especially in Europe/USA) appreciate these great nuts with a wide range of uses just as much as the local population here. It is therefore of great importance, also to compensate (at least partially) for deforestation, to re-grow trees so that interested planters can buy young plants/young trees at all. The Kenyan government has officially ordered a logging stop, every tree to be felled must be approved. It is obvious that such well-intentioned regulations are constantly being circumvented, especially here in Kenya. We are therefore…

    Water for Life

The water issue  – water scarcity on the horizon ! Matuga, our village with an estimated 3000 inhabitants is a typical Kenyan coastal village. The entire village population has about 4 wells and a small river that does NOT offer water all year round, and in addition the water is of poor quality. In the whole village you will not find a single well with good quality drinking water ! The water supply of the government, which frequently fails and is only available from time to time at certain taps in the are, was built about 50 years ago and is not only extremely unreliable (usually there is no water…
